is an injectable solution that is used for the reduction and
or removal of:
• Vertical lines between the eyebrows
• Horizontal forehead lines
• Crow's feet
• Horizontal lines in the neck
• Laugh lines on the nose
• Migraine headaches
How Does It Work?
A few drops of Botox are injected with a tiny needle into
the muscle that creates a wrinkle. This blocks the nerve impulse
from reaching that area, and as a result, the muscle weakens.
As the muscle weakens, the skin overlying the muscle relaxes
and the wrinkles in the skin gradually soften and often disappear.
Botox treatment does not affect normal facial expressions.
Results
Dramatic responses are often seen within a few days. However
the results are in most cases temporary and may need to be
repeated after three to six months.
Comfort
When Botox is injected there is an initial minor sting for
a few seconds. Once the injection is complete, there is usually
no discomfort.
